Fragasso Finanical Advisors was featured in the March 30th edition of Investment News which focused on the winner of The Our Futures Project, Damien Gottschalk. Damien responded to a detailed case study preparing a financial plan which he then presented and defended before a panel of judges. Mr. Gottschalk said “I felt it was relevant. I particularly liked having tangible information as opposed to empty numbers and Greek symbols.” He continued “There were names and dates. You could really develop a relationship with this fictitious couple, and invest in their goal and personalize it.”
Mr. Gottschalk was one of 13 finalists that presented their cases to the panel at Fragasso’s offices. He was announced as the winner of a full-time position in the Investment Management Department at a reception on March 19. Paul Shapiro stated, “Its Important for us to keep our most talented folks here. We can’t continue to lose the best of the best to other cities.” Mr. Shapiro is president of VIE, LLC, in West Simsbury, Connecticut and helped in developing this competition. Mr. Robert Fragasso hopes that this program encourages other local companies to promote similar initiatives geared to keep talented professionals in the area.
