Part 1: Taking on Financial Responsibilities for the First Time

 

In this first educational video, Mallory will walk you through step-by-step how to structure your finances. She will cover the following:

  • identifying assets and liabilities (debts)
  • gathering income sources and expenses
  • creating a budget
  • and understanding how all of these elements can impact your future

Part 2: Six Steps to Financial Planning

 

In this next educational video, Mallory will introduce the six steps to understanding how to create your own financial plan. You will want to start with determining your goals, whether it be retirement planning, education funding or something else depending on your lifestyle. Then Mallory will talk about the importance of plan implementation and the continual oversight of your plan.

Part 3: Can You Afford to Retire?

 

 

Whether retirement is in the near or distant future, the sooner you begin to save, the better off you will be.  In this third video segment, Mallory will discuss common income sources and saving tools to help fund your retirement. She will briefly discuss important tax strategies, and how building a personal investment portfolio should be part of your plan.

Step 4: Eight Principles of Financial Management

 

 

In this final video segment, Mallory covers more detailed information on investment strategies. She will discuss the roles that inflation, diversification and balance can play in your financial plan. This video also introduces the concepts of stocks vs. bonds and the importance of asset allocation.
