"Once I started to focus on the retirement plan space, it became obvious just how little business owners knew about the many options available to them. I feel my role is to show them the possibilities."
Rob started at Fragasso in 2014 and manages the Retirement Plan and Institutional Advisors department. He and his team members work with small to medium sized businesses, organizations, foundations and trade groups to provide defined contribution, defined benefit, endowment and non-qualified strategies. Their goal is to help build and maintain effective retirement programs and sustainable and perpetual assets. Rob feels that the dynamic approach that Fragasso uses, including a centralized portfolio management policy across all accounts, a coordinated strategy and one point of contact, puts clients at ease.
Rob grew up in Mt Washington and joined the Marine Corp at age 20. He has travelled the world, living in Hawaii, Japan, Philippines and several states in the continental U.S. He studied literature and pre-law at both Lewis Clark State and the University of Pittsburgh. In his spare time, Rob enjoys competitive shooting, traveling to the Upper Peninsula, reading and writing, and spending time with his wife, their Boston Terrier Lily, and with family and friends. He serves on the board of directors for the Young Professionals in Energy (YPE Pittsburgh) and the West Allegheny Foundation. Rob serves as a coach helping non-profits at Social Venture Partners Pittsburgh (SVP). He also serves as a committee member for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Steel City Awards, which helps family members of Marines and Navy Corpsmen go to college on full scholarships.
