About fragasso

Helping You Navigate Life's Financial Decisions with Confidence

Since 1972, Fragasso Wealth Advisors has sought to bring clarity and coordination to complex financial lives. Our firm has developed a disciplined planning and investment management process designed to help clients make thoughtful decisions about their wealth.

It's about more than performance.

Our core promise is the relationship itself and the depth of planning that supports it.

What Sets Fragasso Apart

One aspect of our firm’s approach that is unique, both locally and nationally, is the preparation and collaboration that goes into the plan for prospective clients. When recommendations are developed, it is not just a single advisor determining the path forward.

Our advisors do not compete with one another for business, so therefore, each plan is vetted and refined by multiple advisors, financial planning analysts, in-house portfolio managers, and firm managers.

In-house Portfolio Management

We do not outsource investment management and research. Your investment questions are promptly addressed, and you receive regular communications from those managing your portfolio.

Collaborative Team

Your advisor is backed by a team of specialists who work together for your benefit. Your success is our success.

Lasting Commitment

After more than five decades, we can confidently say that wealth is not simply about what you accumulate, it is about how thoughtfully it is managed, shared, and passed forward.

Forbes Top Registered Investment Advisors

Fragasso Financial Advisors was nationally ranked No. 111 on the 2025 Forbes Top Registered Investment Advisors list. The ranking recognizes firms based on factors including client retention, industry experience, business practices, assets under management, and regulatory record.

Data as of 3/31/25 provided by SHOOK ® Research, LLC. Source: Forbes.com (October, 2025). Firm must be registered directly through the SEC as an RIA, those that file their form ADV within a corporate umbrella, or recognized practice groups associated with such a firm under a corporate umbrella. Rankings are based on in-person, virtual and telephone due diligence meetings and a ranking algorithm that includes: a measure of each firm’s best practices, client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, including: assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are not indicative of future performance or representative of any one client’s experience. Past performance is not an indication of future results. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK Research receive compensation in exchange for placement on the ranking.

Barron’s America’s Top 1,200 Independent Advisors

Founder and Board Chairman Robert Fragasso was ranked No. 2 in Western Pennsylvania and No. 7 in Pennsylvania in Barron's 2025 Top 1,200 Independent Financial Advisors rankings. Rankings consider factors such as assets under management, practice quality, regulatory record, and professional achievements.

The rankings are based on data provided by around 6,000 of the nation’s most productive advisors. Factors included in the rankings: assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, regulatory record, quality of practice, and philanthropic work. Investment performance isn’t an explicit component because not all advisors have audited results and because performance figures often are influenced more by clients’ risk tolerance than by an advisor’s investment-picking abilities.

Barron’s America’s Top 100 Independent Advisors

Founder and Board Chairman Robert Fragasso was ranked No. 2 in Western Pennsylvania and No. 4 in Pennsylvania in Barron's 2025 Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors rankings. The ranking evaluates practice quality, client retention, assets under management, and other qualitative and quantitative factors.

Advisors complete a 102-question survey about their practice. Barron’s verifies data with the advisors’ firms and with regulatory databases and then we applies rankings formula to the data to generate a ranking. The formula features three major categories of calculations: (1) Assets (2) Revenue (3) Quality of practice. In each of those categories there are multiple subcalculations. Barron’s measures the growth of advisors’ practices and their client retention and considers a wide range of qualitative factors, including the advisors’ experience, their advanced degrees and industry designations, the size, shape, and diversity of their teams, their charitable and philanthropic work and, of course, their compliance records.
